The diagram above shows the cycle of a PURL campaign. Starting with a direct mail piece, email or text, the recipient receives the campaign medium and goes to their PURL via the Internet or through a QR Code on their phone. Landing pages like ‘Survey Pages’ and ‘Update Profile Pages’ capture the recipients data. A quick Thank You page is generated with an offer that is auto-generated and a Thank You email is sent to them as a follow up with their specific offer. The recipient’s responses are stored in a database and email or text alerts are sent to sales, marketing or customer service for follow-up to the recipient. Real-time tracking can be accessed via the web-based Tracking Dashboard to view your campaigns effectiveness and start preparation for your next campaign.
What does a PURL do?
PURLs link direct mail to the Internet to achieve drastically improved response rates.

A “PURL” is an acronym for:
Personal Uniform Resource Locator.
A PURL is a personalized URL or Web address. Think of it as a mini Website devoted to your campaign that can be personalized to each prospect of your mail list or personalized to different versions of your print campaign.
